Who are we ?

First of all an association, that of the Ecole Polytechnique. More precisely, an association of people who love wine. Who love to drink it, but also to understand it ; who love its taste but also its history. Finally, as Dali said:   "Who knows how to taste, never drinks wine again but tastes secrets". In a way he was right, we kind of are like those explorers who went in search of these wine secrets, eager to discover them and especially to share them ... around a bottle of course.

What do we do ?

Tasting

About once a month, an expert in oenology or a representative of a great château come to present us their wines. These events are real moments of learning, but also of exchanges between passionate students and the big names in the world of wine.

Order

Between the traditional order of Christmas Champagne, the selection of a wine that will bear the name of a promotion or the engraving of glasses bearing the image of the school, there are many opportunities to offer all students a small wine tasting experience at home.

The team of 17 that we constitute is divided into different poles, each responsible for the organization of a specific type of event. From Tasting to V&F, from Order to Competition, and without forgetting the Office, we all are committed to sharing our passion with you.

Competition

Each year, one of the biggest wine-lovers' competitions, the X-Wine, is organized. This event brings together around thirty students from all over France and neighboring countries, and sees a series of blind tasting rounds, in the panorama of the Bordeaux vineyards.

Wine & Cheese

Oenology is far from being a science reserved only for connoisseurs! And this is what we seek to share through these bimonthly meetings. A selection of wine that respects a student budget, a plate of cheese and charcuterie to accompany everything and voila.
